Meet the Coach

Hi, I’m Nicole Sifuentes.

I am a retired professional athlete and 2-time Canadian Olympian with 20 years of running and racing experience.

As a pro, my specialty was the 1500m (known as the “metric mile”).

I began coaching at the NCAA D1 level in 2015 with the University of Michigan (my alma mater). After retiring from international athletic competition in 2019, I started Sifuentes Coaching and started coaching running full-time. I earned the designation of Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA and include strength training for runners in my services.

I work with adult runners of all ages and abilities from the mile up to the marathon. My passion is to offer high-level, totally individualized coaching to anyone who wants to improve their running.

I live with my husband and son near Detroit, Michigan. I love getting fit (being fit!) and helping others get stronger and run faster. Check out my personal training log to follow along on my postpartum return to fitness.
